DENVER (KDVR) — Denver's weather will enter a pattern of warmer and drier conditions for the end of the weekend and the start of next week. Weather tonight: Clouds clearing Showers and thunderstorms will wrap up this evening and clouds will clear out Saturday night. Low temperatures will fall to near 50 degrees, which is close to normal for this time of year. Weather tomorrow: Sunny and warmerDry, sunny weather will move in on Sunday. This will help temperatures climb to the mid-80s, which is right in line with normal for this time of year. Looking ahead: Sunny and more seasonal workweek Sunshine and warmer weather will stick around for Juneteenth on Monday and into Tuesday. On both days, high temperatures will climb to the upper 80s. DENVER (KDVR) -- The city of Denver has been under fire since a mass shooting took place following the Denver Nuggets NBA Championship win. Ten people were injured after a shooting in lower downtown Denver overnight Monday after the Nuggets won their first-ever NBA title. But as crowds of people flocked to the streets to celebrate, it turned violent on Market and 20th streets. Denver’s safety questioned after recent shootings. A Lowell native is delivering a moving message with her new children’s book that was inspired by her battle with a rare eye cancer as a child.Destiny Flood-De Jesus wrote “A Little Superhero Fights Cancer” in the hopes of helping other pediatric cancer patients who may be going through what she went through.“There’s many Destiny’s out there and if I can just make an impact on one of their lives and kind of walk with them in their journey and say, ‘Hey, you’re a superhero and you can do this,” she said. “I really hope that a child that picks up my book and reads it realizes that they’re not alone.” A portion of the proceeds of the book will benefit children battling retinoblastoma.Revolution roll past Orlando City SC, 3-1, at Gillette Stadium

SAN DIEGO -- One person is dead following a shooting at a concert in Liberty Station Saturday evening, the San Diego Police Department confirmed.According to SDPD, authorities were alerted to the shooting at around 6:45 p.m. As of 7:40 p.m., the exact number of people shot have not been determined by police.The shooting occurred near a grassy area in Liberty Station. However, details about which spot in the center have not been confirmed.A suspect has not been identified by authorities at this time. No arrests have been made, SDPD said.This is a developing story. West Virginia basketball coach Bob Huggins has resigned following a drunken driving arrest. The university announced his resignation Saturday night. Huggins was charged with driving under the influence on Friday night after his SUV had stopped in the middle of traffic in Pittsburgh with a shredded tire. According to a criminal complaint, a breath test determined Huggins’ blood alcohol content was 0.21%, more than twice the legal limit.The move comes a month after the university suspended him for three games for using an anti-gay slur while also denigrating Catholics during a radio interview.The 69-year-old Huggins was pulled over by police in Pittsburgh on Friday night. CHICAGO — Two teen boys, 14 and 16, are dead after a shooting that happened in Garfield Park late Saturday afternoon, sources tell WGN.According to the Chicago Police Department, officers responded to a report of a person shot around 4:45 p.m. in the 100 block of South Homan Avenue. When police arrived, they found two male victims — one being 14 years old, and the other being an unknown age.Family members told WGN the second victim is 16 years old and the two boys are related.The 14-year-old was shot multiple times throughout the body, while the 16-year-old was shot in the head. CHICAGO — A contracted bus driver was arrested for driving under the influence by Illinois State Police Thursday night after troopers noticed he was driving the Pittsburgh Pirates' team bus erratically following a loss to the Chicago Cubs.Illinois State Police told WGN that troopers were conducting a special event escort in Chicago when during the escort, 61-year-old Ronald E.
