AUSTIN (KXAN) — A man was sentenced to five years deferred adjudication Sept. 8 in connection with an Aug. 8, 2022, incident.According to court documents, Brandon Munoz, 38, was charged with aggravated kidnapping with a deadly weapon.In Texas, deferred adjudication is a type of probation, which gives the person sentenced the opportunity to keep the conviction off their criminal record. The Bayport City Council will hold a special workshop on Monday afternoon to discuss the relocation of Andersen Elementary School.Andersen Elementary, built in 1919, is one of the oldest school buildings in the Stillwater Area Public School District, and district officials have been looking at building a new school in either Bayport or Baytown Township.Bayport officials want to keep a school within city limits, and the proposed location is Barker’s Alps Park on the western edge of the city. The city of Bayport started leasing the Barker’s Alps land, formerly part of the Minnesota State prison farm lands, from the state in the 1970s and purchased the 48-acre parcel in 1985.
