PITTSFORD, N.Y. (AP) — Brooks Koepka is nine holes away from his third PGA Championship.Koepka reached the turn at Oak Hill with a one-shot lead over Viktor Hovland following a somewhat uneven front nine. He blew a two-shot lead in the final round at Augusta National in April, a collapse he likened to “choking.”Several of the top players in the field have put together a Sunday charge at an Oak Hill course softened by steady rain during the third round.Sepp Straka a...

RALEIGH, N.C. (AP) — There are plenty of things coach Rod Brind’Amour likes about how his Carolina Hurricanes have played to open the Eastern Conference Final.Yet the Hurricanes are struggling with the sport’s most basic task: putting pucks in the net.Carolina has managed just three goals in 103 shots on Florida’s Sergei Bobrovsky in falling into an 0-2 series hole. They next visit the Panthers for Monday’s Game 3.“You have to be careful not to blow everything up and think it’s not working,” Brind’Amour said Sunday. “We’ll tweak things here and there. But we’ve come this far, we’re not going to be suddenly changing our game.”The Hurricanes lost 3-2 in a series opener that went nearly four full overtimes and became the sixth-longest game in NHL history, then fell 2-1 minutes into overtime of Saturday’s Game 2. Along the way, Carolina has managed one goal through nearly 158 minutes since Stefan Noesen’s third-period goal in Game 1.The lone Gam...

Heat bring 2-0 lead over Celtics home to Miami as East finals resume

MIAMI (AP) — Jimmy Butler is Miami’s leader this postseason in points, minutes, assists and steals per game. He’s the sommelier at team dinners. He’s the barista when it’s time for coffee. If all that wasn’t enough, he’s also the DJ.When music blares in the Heat locker room, Butler is almost always in charge. Could be gospel, could be Whitney Houston, could be Nickelback and — as it was after Miami’s 111-105 win in Game 2 of the Eastern Conference finals — it could be Morgan Wallen, whose song “Somebody’s Problem” has become a Heat anthem.Wallen’s song is not about basketball, though that’s completely irrelevant to the Heat. These days, Butler is Somebody’s Problem. In fact, he’s Everybody’s Problem. And the Boston Celtics are running out of time to find a solution.Game 3 of the East finals is Sunday night, with the eighth-seeded Heat leading 2-0 after stunning almost everyone but themselves by going into Boston and winning the first two games of the series — puttin...
