Summer is the unofficial concert season, when major artists hit the road, taking advantage of the good weather, long daylight hours, and breaks from school. Post-COVID-19 pandemic, music fans seem more eager than ever to stand next to thousands of strangers and scream their favorite songs in front of the artist who wrote them.Summer 2023 is set to be one of the biggest for concerts yet, with demand causing Ticketmaster shutdowns and the emergence of premium seating leading to soaring ticket prices. We hardly knew ye.This week, McDonald’s confirmed that restaurants across the U.S. will be “phasing out” three items from the McCafé Bakery menu based on customer interest. Those three items — the Apple Fritter, the Blueberry Muffin and the Cinnamon Roll with Cream Cheese Icing — were also the only remaining offerings on the U.S. McCafé Bakery menu.“We’re always listening to our fans and adjusting our menu based on what they crave. Starting this month, we’ll be phasing out our McCafé Bakery line-up, including the Apple Fritter, Blueberry Muffin and Cinnamon Roll,” a spokesperson for McDonald’s said in a statement shared with Nexstar. More than $51 million was made available in grants through the Securing Communities Against Hate Crimes program to strengthen safety and security measures at organizations that are at risk of hate crimes. SCHENECTADY, N.Y. (NEWS10) -- According to the Schenectady Police, eight individuals have died due to suspected fatal overdose deaths between July 1 and 8. An autopsy of the body was conducted. It is believed that intoxication by drugs was a factor. Police believe that the substances involved in these cases consist of heroin, fentanyl, cocaine, and xylazine. The substances were injected, smoked, and snorted. JEFFERSON COUNTY, Mo. - Two people are behind bars after a man reportedly attacked a Jefferson County deputy with a screwdriver during an attempted arrest over the weekend. Prosecutors have charged Nicholas Davis, 47, and Amanda Davis, 45, of Dittmer, Missouri, with felonies in the investigation. Accused killer’s case thrown out over one question at trial The alleged attack followed a traffic stop of a driver in the 9500 block of Jones Creek Road on July 7, though the driver was not Nicholas or Amanda. According to court documents obtained by FOX 2, Nicholas reportedly came out of his nearby home, yelled at a deputy and started approaching him while holding a screwdriver. The deputy initially ordered Nicholas to back away, then used pepper spray. Per court documents, the deputy attempted to arrest Nicholas, who then struck him in the chest with the screwdriver. LOUIS COUNTY, Mo. - A St. Louis County 18-year-old is accused of firing a gun from a stolen vehicle with the intent to intimidate his girlfriend.According to a report filed by the University City Police Department, the incident happened on June 27 in the 1500 block of Park Way Drive.Police claim Walter Moore was driving to his girlfriend's house and arguing with her over the phone about money he'd spent on her during the relationship. When he got to her home, Moore, still seated in his car, took out a gun and fired several shots into the air.Officers arrived at the scene and Moore sped away. He allegedly broadcasted the police pursuit on his Instagram account, and also texted a death threat to his girlfriend. Denver Beer Co., the fast-growing brewery operation that recently opened its fourth location in Lowry, on Tuesday said it has begun working on a fifth location in Littleton.The new taproom, at 2409 Main St., will include a kitchen and an all-season patio with both outdoor and enclosed seating, fire pits, patio heaters, misters and games. One person was killed and several lanes were closed in a crash on the 101 Freeway in downtown Los Angeles Tuesday morning.The incident was reported around 5 a.m. in the southbound lanes near North Los Angeles Street, according to the California Highway Patrol. A vehicle somehow struck and killed a pedestrian but no further details about the crash were immediately available.
