SACRAMENTO — Kings coach Mike Brown projected Game 2 would be a “dog fight” after Sacramento stole the series opener.And he was right.The Warriors fourth-quarter rally came up short as the Kings beat Golden State 114-106 to take a 2-0 series lead and light the bright purple beam into the night sky for the second time in two days.The Warriors held the Kings to 17 points in the opening quarter, but lost the final three quarters. They also had to play most of the fourth without Draymond Green, who was ejected after getting entangled with Damontas Sabonis.With the Kings up by four in the fourth quarter, Sabonis pulled on Green’s leg, which prompted the Warriors fiery star to stomp on the Sacramento big’s rib cage. SACRAMENTO — Draymond Green was issued a Flagrant 2 foul and ejected from Game 2 of the Warriors’ first-round series against the Sacramento Kings.Green was ejected at the 7 minute mark of the fourth quarter as the Warriors strove to put together a comeback, down 91-88 on Monday night at Golden 1 Center. Sabonis was issued a technical foul for holding onto Green’s foot after a Malik Monk miss on a runner and Steph Curry rebounded the ball.Green stepped on Sabonis’ chest as he tried to escape his grasp, leaving Sabonis writhing on the floor with trainers tending to him. That’s when the Kings crowd taunted Green.Green was already fired up when officials issued him a fifth foul earlier in the quarter after he bumped into Sabonis on the inbound play. SAN JOSE – A person was injured in a shooting over the weekend near San Jose State University, authorities said.The shooting was reported around 12:15 a.m. Saturday across the street from The Grad, a student housing development at 88 East San Carlos St, said San Jose police Sgt. (KTXL/KRON) — Another NBA postseason, another controversy surrounding Draymond Green. The fiery Golden State Warriors forward was ejected from Game 2 of the Warriors' series against the Sacramento Kings after stomping on Kings All-Star center Domantas Sabonis with 7:03 left to play. After falling to the ground while going for a rebound, Sabonis grabbed Green's leg. While trying to run down to the other end of the court, Green stomped on Sabonis' chest. SEATTLE (AP) — Milwaukee Brewers ace Corbin Burnes left Monday night’s game against the Seattle Mariners in the sixth inning with a left pectoral strain. Brewers manager Craig Counsell said he thinks it’s a minor injury and he isn’t ruling out Burnes for his next scheduled start yet.Burnes had just recorded the first out of the inning when Julio Rodriguez hit a long fly ball to center field that was caught by Owen Mitchell. Burnes turned toward the Milwaukee dugout and summoned Counsell and an athletic trainer before being removed from the game.
