WESTFIELD, Ind. (AP) — Shaquille Leonard finally looks and sounds like his old self. The Indianapolis Colts star linebacker is running around, making plays at training camp, injecting energy with his customary nonstop voice. On Saturday, after missing most of last season with an impinged nerve that required season-ending surgery, the three-time All-Pro took another major step in his long road back by returning to full contact in team drills. One of the most-watched players at camp also knows there’s one last hurdle to overcome.“I’m just going out and taking the fear out of making contact,” Leonard said. “I would still say fear — just being able to have contact for the first time in a long time, not knowing what result was going to come. It feels good, it feels amazing and I’m just happy to be out there.”It was evident each time Leonard lined up at Grand Park in Westfield, Indiana, about 30 minutes from the team headquarters. La rotura de un gasoducto que discurre junto al puente cortó el suministro a 20.000 habitantes de la c...

Trump seeks to move trial out of ‘filthy’ Washington

Published Fri, 07 Mar 2025 07:38:56 GMT

Former President Donald Trump attacked the nation’s capital as a “filthy and crime-ridden embarrassment” as the leading Republican candidate in the 2024 race seeks to move his federal trial on conspiracy and obstruction charges to a more politically friendly venue.“NO WAY I CAN GET A FAIR TRIAL, OR EVEN CLOSE TO A FAIR TRIAL, IN WASHINGTON, D.C.,” Trump wrote in an all-capital-letters post on Truth Social, his social media site. He called for a U.S. takeover of the city — which has limited home-rule powers under congressional supervision — a move he said would be unpopular with potential jurors. In a separate post, Trump said he will be asking for recusal of the judge on the case “on very powerful grounds,” without citing any evidence. He said Judge Tanya Chutkan, who was appointed by former President Barack Obama, a Democrat, couldn’t be fair.Trump is accused in an indictment handed down last week in Washington of knowingly spreading lies about the 2020 election being rigged to unde...

FOXBORO — Shortly after the Patriots reported for work Sunday morning, fresh off a rare off day, they split into meetings.Offensive players holed up in separate rooms from their defensive teammates As always, Bill Belichick’s assistant coaches rolled tape from the team’s previous practice and voiced constructive criticisms to sharpen the players’ focus and performance. But according to safety Jabrill Peppers, his group received something different.A “ration.”The defensive coaches were supposedly dismayed over what they’d seen in Friday night’s film, despite the relatively relaxed nature of that practice. So hours later, armed with their coaches’ fury and feedback, Patriots defenders struck back at Bill O’Brien’s offense over one of their best days of the summer. All three quarterbacks were intercepted Sunday, while they combined for eight would-be sacks over more than 50 dropbacks in live team drills. Mac Jones fired the fir...
