BLOOMINGDALE, Ill. -- Police are searching for two suspects who reportedly robbed a jewelry store at the Stratford Square Mall in Bloomingdale three weeks ago.According to the Bloomingdale Police Department, officers responded to the Stratford Square Mall on reports of an armed robbery on Saturday, April 22. Suburban school fight leads to attempted murder charge Further investigations showed that the suspects displayed a handgun with an extended magazine and a hammer during the robbery.The suspects fled the scene in a Black Jeep Grand Cherokee. BRUSH, Colo. (KDVR) — A tornado touched down in northeastern Colorado on Wednesday as severe weather moved through the area, and it was all caught during a live television broadcast. A Shakopee man has been convicted of murder after decapitating his girlfriend with a machete-style knife nearly two years ago.On Thursday, Scott County District Judge Caroline Lennon delivered the guilty verdict against Alexis Saborit, 43. Saborit was convicted of first-degree murder after Lennon determined beyond a reasonable doubt that he murdered America Thayer, 55, with intent and premeditation.Alexis Saborit.Thayer’s decapitated body was found near Fourth Avenue and Spencer Street on July 28, 2021, in downtown Shakopee. KANSAS CITY, Mo. — A federal jury convicted a man for running four websites dedicated to sharing images of child sexual abuse.According to a press release from the United States Department of Justice, Clint Robert Schram, 54, of Kansas City, hosted the four websites from his home. Each website operated over the "dark web" and included the advertising, distribution, and trading of images and videos of child abuse victims. One of the sites included victims as young as 2 years old. A young mountain lion was euthanized after it swatted an 11-year-old girl in the face on Wednesday evening in a rural area southeast of Buena Vista.The incident happened inside a chicken coop that belonged to the girl’s family while she was checking on the birds, according to a Colorado Parks and Wildlife news release. The girl found a dead chicken and when she opened the wooden hen house door, the lion swatted her in the face, leaving a puncture wound.Wildlife officers responded to the home and found the small, sub-adult mountain lion still in the wire mesh coop. The lion was euthanized and its remains were sent to the CPW animal health lab in Fort Collins for examination. A motorcycle officer with the Los Angeles Police Department was taken to the hospital Thursday after getting struck by an alleged hit-and-run driver on a busy freeway transition road. The incident occurred around 3:20 p.m. on the eastbound 10 Freeway and southbound 110 Freeway transition road, according to LAPD.The suspect was driving a black Tesla that was last seen traveling southbound on the 110 Freeway with damage to its front end.Paramedics with the Los Angeles Fire Department responded to the scene and took the officer to the hospital.
