Godsmack coming to Glens Falls this October

GLENS FALLS, N.Y. (NEWS10) - This fall, a beloved hard rock band is coming to the city of Glens Falls to do just what the title of their latest album suggests. Godsmack is headed to Cool Insuring Arena and "Lighting Up the Sky."The group comes to Glens Falls on Tuesday, Oct. 24. Celebrating the release of their eighth album, the Grammy-nominated band is traveling with Michigan-based metal band I Prevail. The Glens Falls show is the final stop on Godsmack's tour, starting in Baton Rogue, Louisiana, on Sept. 3. An artist presale starts on Wednesday, Aug. 23, with full ticket sales starting on Friday, Aug. 25.Godsmack's fall 2023 tour includes stops in Florida, Ohio, and various parts of Canada. ST. CHARLES, Mo. -- A Florissant man is facing charges after a child was killed in a drunk driving crash. Dioavian Cook is charged with driving while intoxicated and in the death of the 7-year-old. Police say that Cook is not in custody, but his bond is set at $100,000.Police say that Cook was driving the wrong way on I-70 at 100 mph on August 12, just east of David Hoekel Parkway. That is when he struck another vehicle, which resulted in the death of the child. The 24-year-old driver of that vehicle was also injured.Cook's blood alcohol content was tested two hours after the crash. At that time it was .20%. Head-On Collision Left Three Dead on Highway 4CALAVERAS COUNTY, CA (August 22, 2023) – Friday evening, a two-car crash on Highway 4 claimed the lives of three people.The incident happened on August 13th, just after 7:09 p.m., along Highway 4 in Calaveras County.According to CHP, the collision between a 2020 Honda and a 2020 Lexus happened on Highway 4 west of Vista Point and Copperopolis.Following the collision, first responders pronounced three dead at the scene.
