LAKE GEORGE, N.Y. (NEWS10) - For a second year, Warren County is giving its seasonal workforce a chance to enjoy a night of summer fun free of worries. The county's Summer Workforce Celebration is taking to the park, rides, and games of Six Flags Great Escape again this September. Hospitality, retail, and tourism staff involved in the Lake George region's summer season get free access to The Great Escape from 5 to 8 p.m. on Tuesday, Sept. 12. ST. LOUIS - Jamie Rivers, after several years of working on the St. Louis Blues pregame and postgame broadcast crew, is set for a larger role this upcoming season. Rivers has been named the new lead analyst for St. Louis Blues broadcasts on Bally Sports Midwest. He will take over a role championed by Darren Pang for 14 seasons before his recent departure to the Chicago Blackhawks broadcast team. ‘Thank you for everything’ : Panger pens fond farewell to St. Louis "Very honored for this opportunity!," said Rivers via Twitter, quoting a St. Louis Post-Dispatch story in which he announced, "I'm not going to try to be Darren Pang." EAST ALTON, Ill. - It is a big back to school day Wednesday morning for many Illinois school districts in the area. We spent the morning in the East Alton School District, where there was excitement in the air for the first day back at school.East Alton is a smaller district with only an early childhood center, Eastwood Elementary School, and East Alton Middle School. However, there were still plenty of smiles as the kids headed back to class. The district is home to about 750 kids from pre-kindergarten through the 8th grade.Crews did some infrastructure work over the summer on the inside of the buildings in the district. The district also got a new playground. Multiple people quit within hours at Jennings City Hall FOX 2 spoke earlier with Katelynne Jones, who is starting her first year as a 3rd grade teacher, and Craig McCann, who is going into the 7th grade. UNIVERSITY CITY, Mo. -- An officer found a 2016 Nissan Altima that had been reported stolen on July 11, 2023. The vehicle was parked in University City and the officer called a tow truck to pick it up.As the driver of the tow truck was getting ready to take the car away, 19-year-old Lamonte Davis walked up to him and said that he owned the car. Davis had a key fob for the Nissan, two other key fobs, and a handgun in a bag he was carrying.Davis has been officially charged with felony tampering with a motor vehicle. If Davis is found guilty, he could be sent to jail, pay a fine, or face other legal implications. Jefferson County Sheriff‘s deputies have issued a “missing endangered adult” alert as they search for a 19-year-old woman who left metro Denver in a red Mercedes.The woman identified as Kallie Ridley, “considered endangered for developmental reasons,” went missing between 3:30 p.m. and 5:30 p.m. Tuesday from the 25900 block of Genesee Trail Road, sheriff officials said in a 9:25 p.m. posting on X, the social media site formerly called Twitter.Ridley is described as standing 5’ 6″, weighing 210 pounds, with black hair and blue eyes, officials said. She was wearing an orange shirt, blue jeans with holes, and black shoes. Friends of an accomplished musician who has been missing for nearly two months are asking for the public to help find her. Camela Leierth-Segura, 48, was last seen in the Beverly Hills area on June 29, according to her missing persons page on the California Department of Justice website.Friends have also been posting on social media in an effort to get others to help in the search. Leierth-Segura is a singer and songwriter whose credits include Katy Perry's "Walking On Air."“We are extremely worried about her safety, and despite our best efforts, the local authorities have not been able to locate her,” Liz Montgomery posted on her Instagram account. A series of thunderstorms moved through Southern California early Wednesday morning.Video showed lightning strikes in the sky over the 405 Freeway near Mulholland around 3 a.m. Flashes were also seen in the Mission Viejo area.Reports of early morning rain were also reported in Riverside and other parts of the Inland Empire.Forecasters called for thunderstorms to continue through the day in some areas with the best chances of continued thunderstorm activity in the mountains and deserts, the National Weather Service said. Two Injured in Multi-Vehicle Accident near Lake AvenuePASADENA, CA (August 14, 2023) – Early Wednesday morning, two victims sustained injuries in a big-rig rollover collision on 210 Freeway.The incident occurred around 4:55 a.m., on the westbound lanes of the freeway near Lake Avenue on August 9th.For reasons under investigation, a tractor-trailer overturned in the area. Medical personnel arrived and transported two victims to a nearby hospital for further treatment.
