Published Sun, 09 Mar 2025 17:16:16 GMT

DENVER (KDVR) -- The Denver Broncos have two games left this season and a complicated road to the playoffs, but a new report says they may be throwing in the towel.NFL Network's Ian Rapoport shared on Twitter that the Broncos may be benching quarterback Russell Wilson. Can the Denver Broncos still make it to the playoffs after loss to Patriots? This would mean Jarrett Stidham, the only other quarterback on the team's roster as of Dec. 27, would likely be starting in those games.Stidham, 27, played for the New England Patriots and Las Vegas Raiders before signing with the Broncos this season. While he hasn't played in the regular season here in Denver, he has been in 13 career games with a completion percentage of 58.8%. However, he's thrown more interceptions (seven) than touchdowns (six) during those appearances.Rapoport's tweet indicated the Broncos may be benching Wilson as a way to save money. If he is released or traded by the team before March of 2024 then his 2025 salary is...

A brother-in-law fascinated by the newspaper clippings he found glued to his walls while peeling off old wallpaper just had to see the original page from the Herald archives. That’s how I became useful on Christmas Day. By WAFAA SHURAFA, SAMY MAGDY and LEE KEATH (Associated Press)DEIR AL-BALAH, Gaza Strip (AP) — Thousands of Palestinian families fled Wednesday from the brunt of Israel’s expanding ground offensive into Gaza’s few remaining, overcrowded refuges, as the military launched heavy strikes across the center and south of the territory, killing dozens, Palestinian health officials said.On foot or riding donkey carts loaded with belongings, a stream of people flowed into Deir al-Balah — a town that normally has a population of around 75,000. Most crowded onto streets around the town’s main hospital, Al-Aqsa Martyrs, hoping it would be safer from Israeli strikes.Still, no place is safe in Gaza. Israeli offensives are crowding most of the population...
