(CNN) — An asteroid sample collected by NASA has touched down on Earth, giving scientists the opportunity to learn more about the origins of the solar system and capturing a piece of a massive space rock that has a chance of colliding with our planet in the future. It’s the first time the agency has accomplished such a feat.Seven years after launching to space, the OSIRIS-REx spacecraft flew by Earth Sunday to deliver the pristine sample from the near-Earth asteroid Bennu.NASA is providing a livestream of the delivery and recovery efforts.OSIRIS-REx, which stands for Origins, Spectral Interpretation, Resource Identification, Security, Regolith Explorer, lifted off in 2016 and began orbiting Bennu in 2018. The spacecraft collected the sample in 2020 and set off on its lengthy return trip to Earth in May 2021. PRISTINA, Kosovo (AP) — At least 30 gunmen killed a Kosovar Albanian police officer then stormed an Orthodox monastery in Kosovo near its border with Serbia, setting off ongoing gunbattles that have left three assailants dead and raised tensions between the two former wartime foes as they seek to normalize ties. Police have surrounded Banjska, a village located 55 kilometers (35 miles) north of the Kosovo’s capital where the monastery is located, and the gunfire is continuing, according to Prime Minister Albin Kurti, who said the attack had support from neighboring Serbia. The Kosovo Diocese of the Serbian Orthodox Church said a temple of the monastery in Banjska was locked down after gunmen stormed it. A group of pilgrims from Serbia was inside the temple in Kosovo along with an abbot, the Rev. Danilo. Serbian President Aleksandar Vucic was expected to speak later Sunday to “expose Kurti’s lies,” according to pro-government media. Giorgio Armani closed Milan Fashion Week on Sunday with good vibes and a front row that included frequent guests such as Cate Blanchette and Juliette Binoche. Armani’s Spring-Summer 2024 collection mirrored a sky’s shifting colors and light at dusk, an idea conveyed with changing colors on the back wall of the showroom in his historic, central Milan headquarters. The 89-year-old designer employed translucent, diaphanous fabrics alongside silks and satin to create lightness and movement. The palette captured the mood, moving from bronze on silvery gray to jewel blue, green and purples that bled together, and back to dusky shades of gray and silver that faded to white.“No beige,″ Armani joked after the show. The collection conveyed elegance but also practicality: clothes that put the wearer at ease in any context and without prodding toward overt, revealing sexiness. Satiny trousers anchored many of the looks — jackets, transparent blouson layers, shimmering tops and off-sh...Suspect arrested after shooting at the Oklahoma State Fair injures 1, police say

(The Conversation) - Have you ever wondered why certain medications don’t seem to work as well for you as they do for others? This variability in drug response is what pharmacogenomic testing hopes to explain by looking at the genes within your DNA.Pharmacogenomics, or PGx, is the study of how genes affect your response to medications. Genes are segments of DNA that serve as an instruction manual for cells to make proteins. Some of these proteins break down or transport certain medications through the body. Others are proteins that medications target to generate a desired effect. As pharmacists who see patients who have stopped multiple medications because of side effects or ineffectiveness, we believe pharmacogenomic testing has the potential to help guide health care professionals to more precise dosing and prescribing. How do PGx tests work?PGx tests look for variations within the genes of your DNA to predict drug response. Marco Rossi has made the Wild roster out of camp before, last season, in fact, after earning a goal and five assists in just the preseason games. But it didn’t stick, and he found himself back in Iowa after 19 games. That won’t do this season for either Rossi or the Wild.“We’re looking for Marco Rossi to make our hockey club and be an impact player with the Minnesota Wild,” head coach Dean Evason said this week. The Wild are cap-strapped and high on the No. 9 overall pick in the 2020 draft, and Rossi is anxious to find a home in the NHL after last season’s setback and a serious bout with myocarditis that essentially wiped out his first season of professional hockey. It’s almost hard to believe he’s still only 22 years old.“I want to make the team and just want to show that I’ve improved over the last few years, and that I gained confidence and that I know what to do,” Rossi said as the Wild started training camp last week at TRIA Rink in downtown St. Paul.To that end, the Austria nativ...Business People: U.S. Bank expands into health care banking services
